As the Engineering and Maintenance Manager, you will be part of the management team, driving technical improvements, overseeing strategic projects, and ensuring the reliability of advanced production operations. This role offers the opportunity to lead a skilled team, contribute to strategic decisions, and champion automation and process optimization in a dynamic production environment.
Responsibilities- Lead the maintenance and engineering functions and manage the maintenance team.
- Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) standards and guidelines across all maintenance activities and projects.
- Manage maintenance and investment budgets, set priorities, and control costs while pursuing automation and technological renewal of equipment.
- Monitor and uphold quality standards to ensure the availability and reliability of machines and installations.
- Define and enforce effective maintenance and engineering procedures in collaboration with Production, Process, and Engineering departments.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute both urgent maintenance work and long-term engineering projects.
- Lead and deliver technical projects from concept to completion, working with internal teams and external partners.
- Develop, mentor, and motivate the maintenance team, fostering teamwork, continuous development, and a solution-oriented approach.
- Ensure complete and accurate technical documentation, and proper handover after project completion.
- Work closely with other departments (Production, Quality, Logistics, Purchasing, Finance) to optimize the integration of maintenance and project activities.
- Contribute to strategic decision-making and long-term planning as an active member of the management team.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electromechanics or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, maintenance techniques, and systems.
- Deep understanding of HSE procedures, engineering standards, and risk management (e.g., PTW, LTT, risk assessments).
- Substantial experience with preventative and corrective maintenance in a process manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record managing both maintenance and investment budgets.
- Hands‑on experience in project management and driving process automation.
- Proficiency with CMMS maintenance systems and general PC applications.
- Solid leadership skills in managing and developing maintenance and technical teams.
- Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs and automation systems.
- Expertise in mechanical/electrical systems such as belts, hydraulics, pumps, and heat treatment equipment.
- Knowledge of both national and international engineering standards.
- Familiarity with managing engineering changes, technical documentation, and project handover procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills for cross‑departmental collaboration and strategic input.
- Ability to handle complex communication and facilitate group discussions.
