About the Role
This is not a role where you’ll sit behind a desk. You’ll be the trusted technical expert customers rely on to install, commission, troubleshoot, and optimize highly specialized automation systems across North America. If you enjoy travel, independence, technical problem-solving, and working alongside a collaborative team of engineers, this could be an exceptional long‑term opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and support advanced automation systems at customer sites
- Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, networking, and control system issues
- Lead startup activities and optimize system performance
- Interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Train customers on system operation and best practices
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor during service visits
- Collaborate closely with engineering, service, and sales teams
- Provide remote and onsite technical support as needed
- Document service activities and technical findings
Qualifications
- Field Service Engineer, Field Service Technician, Controls Engineer, Automation Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or similar technical field‑service background
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting abilities
- Experience installing, commissioning, and servicing industrial equipment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Customer‑facing technical support experience
- Comfortable traveling extensively throughout North America

Pay range and compensation package
Base $80-100k + overtime and full benefits
Approximately 2–3 weeks of travel per month (roughly 50–70% annual travel). Primarily throughout the United States and Canada. Occasional international travel opportunities.
