Controls Engineer
A Controls Engineer designs, implements, and maintains control systems for industrial processes and machinery, ensuring efficient and safe operation by optimizing systems and troubleshooting issues.
Our client has a unique career opportunity offering unlimited growth potential for a talented, motivated individual. The Senior Control System Engineer will define, design and implement control systems for a variety of processes spanning multiple industries. Depending upon interest and skills, a hybrid role is possible including a business development component.
Responsibilities will include:
- Programming, creating, reading, and editing logic diagrams, wiring diagrams, single lines, and P&IDs. Perform and/or verify process/control design for projects (PLC's, networks, drives, instrumentation, control panels, etc.).
- Experience with Allen-Bradley hardware, including Micro Logix, Control Logix, Compact Logix, and Panel View to control a variety of fluid processes.
- Mechanically and electrically troubleshoot difficult equipment problems in systems. Quickly and correctly accomplish equipment repairs of electrical equipment including the testing and refurbishing of PLC modules, HMI's, and other electrical hardware.
- Assist with on-site start-up which includes troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Qualifications:
- 2 or more years of experience programming Allen Bradley PLC's, and HMI's. or Siemens PLC's
- 2 or more years of experience programming Factory Talk Panel View
- Experience in site commissioning and startup of control systems.
