Position OverviewAs an Electrical Construction Field Engineer, you will be the primary electrical engineering lead on the EPC project to the Industrial market; you will be expected to be a job‑site leader in health and safety, ensuring quality of reporting and workmanship, and that all electrical field engineering work is completed in a professional and ethical manner. Your main functions will include electrical planning and scheduling, contract administration, and electrical progress and financial reporting.
You will play an integral role in the overall execution of electrical installation on complex, industrial electrical projects, including responsibilities such as electrical procurement, multi‑discipline design problems, coordination with the client and the design/engineering team, and other project issues.
The Kiewit Industrial District delivers direct‑hire construction services for complex industrial projects across the United States. Our work spans multiple sectors, including data centers, mineral processing, energy and water, with projects ranging from small capital work to major EPC projects.
Location- Point Pleasant, WV (project base)
- Travel and site presence required for project duration (2‑3 years)
- Relocation assistance or per diem options provided for projects
- Support both administrative and construction activities assigned by the supervisor, reviewing proposals/specifications, drawings, performing material takeoffs, preparing cost estimates, and attending pre‑bid investigation meetings.
- Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision.
- Perform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining percentage of completed/installed materials and work.
- Assist in the preparation of work plans and work packages.
- Assist in the preparation of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s).
- Learn how to supervise subcontractors and communicate with vendors.
- Prepare work plans, assure quality control, manage and track costs and materials, schedule equipment, administer safety programs and maintain exceptional owner relations.
- Partner with Superintendents, Field Engineers, and craft on project within the electrical discipline. Provide mentoring and strong leadership for a team of Electrical Field & Field Engineers.
- Graduated with a degree in Construction Management or related degree.
- At least 3 years of electrical construction experience.
- Knowledge of construction safety and current federal & OSHA requirements.
- Working knowledge of National Electrical Code.
- Broad knowledge and ability to understand project scheduling and cost control, and to read and understand project owner specifications and engineering drawings.
- Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office. Familiarity with Sure Trak, Hard Dollar, Revit, SAP, Pro Log and/or Primavera “P6” is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.

Base Compensation: $95,000/yr – $105,000/yr (actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skill set, and/or location)
