- Mechanical in Highland Heights, OH or Cleveland, OH.

The New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer
- Mechanical is critical in bridging the gap between product development and manufacturing, ensuring smooth transitions from design to full‑scale production of new and complex products. The primary function of the role is to design and validate production‑level assembly and test processes for all new products released from Design Engineering.

This position will collaborate with cross‑function teams within the organization to create and document detailed assembly and test production processes and procedures, including equipment selection and validation, equipment setup, test board PCB design, work instructions development, training, and calibration and acceptance test procedure (ATP) validation testing for the company's line of rugged optical transceiver modules and system‑level products in preparation for deployment on the production floor.

The role will analyze product designs for manufacturability, identify potential production issues, propose effective solutions, and implement training for production technicians and other engineers. The individual in this position will coordinate closely with the design and process engineering teams to ensure product specifications are clearly defined and achievable within manufacturing constraints. Additionally, they will be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed project timelines, budgets, and resource plans to ensure timely and cost‑effective product launches.

The individual in this role will also train other engineers to replicate new product test setups for the production floor and assist in developing the skills of NPI team technicians and production test technicians.
