Arcadis seeks to hire a Senior Roadway Design Engineer to join the team in the Cleveland, Columbus, or Akron locations. In this position, you will have the opportunity to lead and direct the development and design of infrastructure projects for roadways, including intersections, collector streets, urban arterials, rural and urban expressways, interstates and interstate interchanges.
Role Accountabilities- Perform different roles on multi-disciplined projects including technical design, production lead, task leader and assisting Project Manager and lead engineers.
- Participate in a client‑facing role, either as a team or individual, making presentations and managing client expectations.
- Develop project scopes and budgets, interface with and maintain client needs for the Project Manager, mentor and develop junior staff and design/drafters, develop project plans and maintain project schedules, and ensure project compliance with Arcadis practices including quality and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- 10 or more years of relevant engineering experience, including supervision of elements of large, complex projects
- Professional Engineer (PE)
- Experience with infrastructure design and construction engineering, cost estimates, technical reports, construction plans and project displays.
- Proficiency with CAD (Civil3D, Micro Station) and Open Roads software
- Familiarity with ODOT design standards and policies
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to contribute information to meetings, assist with effective client presentations and prepare written reports and meeting minutes.
- Ability to work on multiple unique assignments simultaneously.
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem‑solving skills, and self‑motivated, team‑oriented, flexible with initiative.
- Ohio PE
- Active participation in regional and/or national professional associations
- Experience in maintenance of traffic design, traffic signals design, and roadway drainage design

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
