Quality Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer to support new product launches and process validation efforts. This role will be heavily focused on inspection, measurement, and capability analysis to ensure products meet customer and internal quality standards.

Responsibilities

+ Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and support early-stage product validation.

+ Conduct capability studies and analyze process performance.

+ Utilize various measurement tools including micrometers, pin gages, and CMM/Faro arm.

+ Support PPAP/NFAI documentation and submissions for new product introductions.

+ Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to validate part compliance.

+ Work 90% on the manufacturing floor, partnering with operations and production teams.

+ Evaluate and implement appropriate measurement techniques for different part geometries.

Essential Skills

+ Process improvement, first article inspection, capability studies, Quality engineering, Industrial engineering, PPAP, measuring equipment, metrology.

+ 2+ years of experience in Quality Engineering OR Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering (quality-focused).

+ Process development and part validation.

+ Hands-on experience with inspection tools and measurement techniques.

+

Experience with PPAP, FAI, and capability studies.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience programming or running a CMM.

+ Knowledge of R&R.

+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred).

+ Exposure to project management or new product launches.

+ Fixture design.

Work Environment

The role is very hands-on, with a focus on measuring and first article inspections, requiring 90% of the time to be spent on the manufacturing floor. The environment provides strong exposure to quality systems and validation work, with high visibility on new product introductions. The potential opportunity exists to transition into a contract-to-hire role, supporting design changes aligned with new standards and higher-efficiency products for a leading manufacturer in air movers and fans.

This is a Contract position based out of Cleveland, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $53.00/hr.
