TRC Substation Engineer
The Substation Engineer performs design engineering activities requiring a basic understanding of drawings, calculations, specifications, and industry standards and practices covering the assigned work. This role supports relay protection and control engineering, including detailed design for substation projects of varying size, complexity, and voltage class.
Responsibilities include conceptual designs and execution plans, engineering/project cost estimates and schedules, physical substation design, protection and control design, calculations for studies and reports, equipment specifications for procurement and/or factory acceptance testing, lead coordination of design activities with other departments, development and improvement of processes, tools and/or technology implementations, assist in correspondence with clients or outside personnel, provide short term field support during construction, and other areas of involvement may include relay settings, 3D modeling/design, or industry/professional technical committee involvement.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program, EIT certification strongly preferred, proficiency with National Electrical Safety Code and IEEE / ANSI Standard, excellent written & verbal communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and capability of solving difficult problems that require adaptation and modification of standard approaches, techniques, procedures, and criteria.

Compensation is in accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors. Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
