Our premier paint and specialty materials manufacturing client is currently hiring for a proven leader to join its Automotive OEM Coatings team as a Facility Electrical Engineer at the Cleveland, OH manufacturing plant.
This position will report to the Site Engineering Manager and is responsible for providing electrical engineering services to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all facility electrical systems. The incumbent will also develop and manage plant improvement and infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities- Support facility EHS initiatives (GS2, PSM, audits, etc.).
- Ensure regulatory compliance for all electrical systems on site, including those associated with hazardous-area electrical classifications.
- Be responsible for developing and maintaining standards and procedures for the installation and maintenance of electrical equipment and services.
- Develop and provide project management support for plant improvement and infrastructure projects.
- Introduce new technologies or processes into the facility.
- Implement operator/supervisor suggestions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with proven experience in 24V to 13.8kV distribution systems.
- 5-10 years of maintenance or manufacturing experience in an industrial environment; batch paint processing experience is a plus.
- Candidate must demonstrate a high degree of attention to detail and ability to manage complexity.
- Working knowledge of electrical red lines, single-line drawings, PLCs, inverters, and associated instrumentation.
- Working knowledge of pumps, mills, rotational equipment, as well as material movement, desired.
- Ability to direct maintenance and contract employees.
- Excellent multitasking skills with the ability to be self-motivated and self-directed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong customer focus/orientation, decision-making, and communication with internal team members as well as contractors.
- Ability to interact with multiple levels of the organization, from the shop floor to upper management.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong personal computer skills, including Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with ACAD is a plus.
- Knowledge of industry construction standards is a plus.
- Knowledge of explosion-proof and intrinsically safe electrical installations is a plus.
Schedule: 1st shift; hours are flexible.
