* We are seeking an experienced, hands-on NDE Level III qualified in Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) to serve as the company's technical authority for these NDE methods.

This position will initially be the sole dedicated member of the NDE function and will be responsible for both performing NDE examinations and providing Level III technical oversight of the company's NDE program.

You must be comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the NDE function, including hands-on examinations, procedures, techniques, equipment, personnel qualification requirements, records, technical interpretation, and audit support.

This position reports directly to the Quality Director. As the company's NDE needs grow, you will play a key role in developing the department and training, qualifying, and providing technical oversight to future NDE personnel.

** Your Challenge:*
* + Personally perform UT, MT, and PT examinations as required by production and project needs.

+ Set up and calibrate NDE equipment in accordance with approved procedures and applicable requirements.

+ Perform examinations in accordance with applicable procedures, drawings, specifications, codes, and customer requirements.

+ Interpret and evaluate examination results within the individual's qualified methods.

+ Accurately document examination results and maintain required traceability.

+ Identify and properly document reportable or rejectable indications.

+ Maintain examination records in accordance with Quality Assurance Program requirements.

+ Stop work and obtain clarification whenever requirements are unclear or conditions could affect examination validity.

+ Providing technical direction for NDE activities.

+ Developing, reviewing, approving, and maintaining NDE procedures and technique sheets within the individual's qualified methods.

+ Determining appropriate examination methods, techniques, equipment, and parameters.

+ Reviewing applicable codes, standards, drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.

+ Resolving NDE technical questions.

+ Evaluating unusual, questionable, or disputed indications.

+ Providing technical interpretation of NDE requirements.

+ Reviewing examination results when Level III review is required.

+ Establishing and maintaining technically sound NDE practices.

** Your Expertise:*
* + Level III qualification/certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT).

+ Significant hands-on experience performing UT, MT, and PT examinations.

+ Strong working knowledge of ASME Section V.

+ Demonstrated ability to develop, review, and approve NDE procedures and techniques.

+ Experience interpreting applicable codes, specifications, drawings, and acceptance criteria.

+

Experience with NDE personnel qualification and certification programs.

+ Ability to independently organize and maintain an NDE program.

+ Strong technical documentation skills.

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.

+ Ability to work effectively with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, customers, and inspectors.

+ Current ASNT NDT Level III credentials in UT, MT, and PT.

+ Nuclear fabrication experience.

+ ASME Section III experience.

+ NQA-1 and/or 10 CFR 50 Appendix B experience.

+ Experience supporting ASME certification surveys.

+ Experience working with Authorized Inspectors or Authorized Nuclear Inspectors.

+

Experience with nuclear customers or nuclear component manufacturing.

+ Experience developing an NDE program or improving an existing program.

+ Experience training and qualifying NDE Level I and Level II personnel.
