Entry Level Electrical Engineer
We are seeking two junior/entry-level engineers to focus on Siemens controlled equipment across our plant. This role is part of an accelerated project, with our Cleveland plant serving as a pilot location for future implementations at other sites. Engineers will be responsible for configuring a new monitoring system on all assets and capital equipment within the plant to better track and anticipate performance drift.
The project is anticipated to take about six months, covering 35% of the plant's equipment, with a current focus exclusively on Siemens equipment.
- Modify equipment with Siemens controls.
- Modify the PLC logic using Step 7.
- Send data through the interface module and configure the monitoring portal.
- Ensure PLC data is moved to the cloud to trigger alerts and anticipated work orders.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field.
- 0 to 2 years of experience, including co-ops and internships.
- Proficiency in Siemens PLC and Step 7 logic modification.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a union environment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with other PLCs is considered if the candidate has transferable logic modification skills.
The position requires time to be split between the production floor (70%) and office environments (30%). There are approximately 3,000 assets requiring work. The role involves a standard 40-hour work week on the first shift. Training on the interface module and monitoring portal will be provided. This is a unique opportunity to gain experience at a globally recognized automotive OEM and learn from a Senior Electrical Engineer.
The project is an early pilot initiative that will soon be adopted by other plants across the organization.
This is a contract position based out of Brookpark, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
