About The Summer Analyst Program

KBCM provides its Summer Analysts unprecedented professional development opportunities through a mix of on‑the‑job training and structured, hands‑on experience. The program is designed to provide broad experience across all stages of transaction executions, from pitch phase through closing. Because our Summer Analyst Program is a direct pipeline for our full‑time Analyst positions, it offers exceptional potential for you to return to KBCM upon graduation to start your capital markets career.

Job duties may include:

  • Perform financial modeling and valuation analysis on public and private companies: comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis, leveraged and discounted cash flow analysis.
  • Assist in drafting offering memoranda, preparing internal committee memoranda, and creating client “pitch books”, management and board presentations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Rising juniors enrolled in a four‑year, undergraduate degree program with coursework in finance, economics or accounting graduating by May of 2028.
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA.
  • Strong quantitative and critical thinking abilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork from past work experience and/or extracurricular activities.
  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

Opportunities in Debt Capital Markets where interns may be placed include:

  • High Grade/High Yield.
  • Loan Syndicate & Sales.
  • Syndicated Leveraged Finance.

High Grade / High Yield Capital Markets

The High Grade / High Yield Capital Markets team structures and executes corporate bond transactions in both the public and private bond markets. The team covers bond transactions across all industries (e.g. Utilities, Power & Renewables, Industrials, Healthcare, Tech, etc.) and the full ratings spectrum. HGHY is also the primary support to KBCM’s Ratings Advisory practice.

Loan Syndicate & Sales

Key Banc Capital Markets’ Loan Syndicate and Sales Desk is responsible for structuring, marketing, and distributing syndicated loans. The desk acts as a contact point between the borrower and the market. Junior bankers on the team focus on analyzing comparable transactions, supporting the distribution process, and formulating relevant analyses on market trends.

Syndicated Leveraged Finance

The Syndicated and Leveraged Finance team structures, markets and executes debt financing transactions across the bank and broadly syndicated loan markets. Common financing scenarios include leveraged buyouts, acquisitions, dividend recapitalizations and refinancings. Junior bankers on the team are responsible for analyzing inbound opportunities, preparing marketing materials, supporting deal teams throughout the syndication process, and following market trends.

Key Bank’s Campus Program Internship and Analyst positions are not eligible for employment visa sponsorship (e.g., H-1B visa).
