As the Director of Finance at EDEN, you will oversee daily financial operations, ensuring accuracy in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Your typical schedule will be Monday through Friday
, allowing for a balanced work‑life approach in our Cleveland office. Expect to collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align financial strategies with organizational goals. You will review financial statements, manage cash flow, and implement internal controls to uphold our integrity and excellence standards.
Regular meetings with department heads will provide opportunities to address issues and enhance problem‑solving initiatives. Additionally, you will present financial insights to senior leadership, guiding decision‑making processes that uphold our customer‑centric values. A proactive mindset will be essential as you identify and tackle challenges head‑on while fostering a culture of innovation within the finance team.
Are you a good fit for this Director of Finance job?To excel as the Controller at EDEN, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with a preference for those holding a Master's degree. A minimum of seven years of progressive accounting experience, especially within the nonprofit sector, is essential for success in this role. Two years of leadership/managerial experience required, showcasing your leadership and team management abilities. Strong proficiency in financial software tools, particularly Yardi enterprise software, is preferred to streamline operations effectively.
Additionally, a deep understanding of principles and procedures related to personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation, and benefits will be necessary for overseeing staff operations. A valid Ohio driver's license with a good driving record and adequate insurance is required for travel purposes. Holding a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is preferred and will further demonstrate your expertise and commitment to excellence in financial management.
KnowledgeAnd Skills Required For The Position Are
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of seven years of progressive accounting experience is required.
- A Master's degree is preferred. Not-for‑profit experience is preferred.
- Two years of leadership/managerial experience required.
- Knowledge of Yardi enterprise software preferred.
- Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment selection training compensation and benefits and personnel information systems.
- A valid Ohio driver's license with good driving record and proof of adequate insurance.
- A license as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
