As a research and development analyst to research and development analyst lead on the Personal Lines R&D Auto Product Design team, you’ll help develop and implement new product models. You'll research new ideas to refine existing product features and identify new pricing opportunities. Additionally, you’ll provide product design support to individual states as we deploy new product models, contribute to countrywide product monitoring efforts, and perform various ad hoc analyses.
LocationAll candidates will work in the Cleveland office 2 days a week for at least 6 months.
Must-have Qualifications- High school diploma/GED equivalent or higher and a minimum of five years relevant experience in statistical/quantitative modeling and in using various database tools to manipulate large volumes of structured data.
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field of study and a minimum of two years analytical work experience.
- Master's degree in a quantitative field of study.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with proven critical thinking and problem‑solving skills, and demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi‑task effectively to keep projects moving and hit critical deadlines.
- Ability to retrieve data from various sources, clean and organize it for analytical purposes, draw conclusions based on the data, and provide business recommendations consistent with the data.
- Knowledge of SQL and experience using programming software such as R, Python, or SAS, with intermediate to advanced skills in Excel including use of look‑ups, pivot tables, and data visualization techniques.
- Knowledge of predictive data models using statistical, mathematical or data mining methods.
- $74,000 - $146,900/year depending on position level and experience.
- Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 30‑40% of your eligible earnings based on company performance.
