• Base Range $110,000 - $140,000

Responsible for recording accounting transactions, preparation of financial statements, development of budgets and forecasts, and variance analysis of results across multiple business units. Will develop a team and serve as a strategic finance partner to business leadership.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

• Coordinate and perform proper recording of transactions in the general ledger and support systems for multiple business units
• Prepare and present monthly financial statements and management reports
• Partner with leadership and finance teams to drive budget and forecast processes
• Oversight and ownership of critical internal control and accounting processes (including Sarbanes Oxley compliance)
• Develop staff through goal-setting, evaluations, feedback and on‑going coaching to ensure activities are performed within department and Company policy.
• Serve as business partner, trusted advisor, and thought partner for the Employee Benefits, Life Insurance Solutions, Compensation Consulting, and Divisional Admin groups within the Benefits and Insurance division. Develop a broad knowledge and understanding of the company’s business practices in order to help guide the company to achieve profitable growth.
• Develop, build and mentor a solid accounting team that can build and prepare efficient and sustainable budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, risk management, SOX controls, and reporting of key business metrics.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• 10 years of finance and accounting experience
• 5 years of supervisory experience
• Ability to travel as required by business

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
• 5 years experience in relevant field
• Proficient use of applicable technology
• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of an organization, both internally and externally
• Ability to record, report and communicate all financial transactions
