Asset Manager – Summary

Responsible for completing Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Life Insurance Company special request items, including but not limited to Assumptions, Transfers of Interest, Easements, short‑term extensions, collateral alterations or releases, lease approvals, and insurance losses. Identifies and mitigates credit, financial, operational, physical, and market risks impacting the properties collateralizing the commercial real estate servicing portfolio. Works directly with team members, borrowers, guarantors, government agencies, developers, owners, managers, and other industry groups to maintain sound financing for the nation’s commercial and multifamily real estate.

• Perform special request asset management and servicing consent request activities.
• Manage a varied portfolio of requests and work through the transaction from inception to completion.
• Communicate across different lines of business; handle transaction types that include Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, banks, and Life Insurance Companies.
• Review and complete requests of varying complexity, including Assumptions, Transfers of Interest, Easements, collateral releases, lease review approvals, loan modifications, extensions, and insurance losses.
• Review and analyze property financials, ordering and reviewing inspections, appraisals, Phase1 Environmental studies, and insurance reports.
• Monitor borrowers’ compliance with loan documents and advise senior management of perceived risks or issues, thereby mitigating default risk.
• Meet tight deadlines and hold oneself accountable; promote and participate in a team atmosphere.

• Undergraduate degree required.
• Prior real‑estate asset management, servicing, and portfolio management experience is a plus.
• Underwriting experience.
• Ability to understand organizational structures and create org charts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good analytical and mathematical skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and take directions from a manager.
• Ability to work well with others and also work independently.
• Experience reviewing loan documents, policies, procedures, and real‑estate underwriting.
• Familiarity with leases, SNDAs, operating agreements, real‑estate appraisals, environmental reports, CMBS, and Freddie securitized transactions.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, coordinate, and communicate effectively while providing excellent customer service.

• Competitive salary range of $85,000 to $110,000 annually.
