Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Client Experience & Relationship Support
    :
    Create a WOW experience by greeting and acknowledging clients warmly and promptly, directing them to proper branch personnel, assisting clients in person or by telephone with questions or concerns, and maintaining client confidentiality.
  • Operational & Transactional Duties
    :
    Assist in the opening/closing procedures of the branch for dual control, process deposit/withdrawal transactions, facilitate sale of cashier’s checks and inventory items, process payments for loans, utilities, and services, process client account maintenance requests, assist with ATM balancing, protect financial interest by controlling and balancing assigned cash drawer, maintain balancing record and achieve operational objectives.
  • Compliance & Risk Management
    :
    Adhere to Smart Bank policies and all applicable federal, state, and local banking and industry regulations, report discrepancies or suspicious activity, and perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education & Experience
    :
    High school diploma required, Associate’s degree preferred, minimum one year of banking experience preferred, sales experience preferred.
  • Training Requirements
    :
    None.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    :
    Excellent customer service skills, ability to apply knowledge and sound judgment, cash handling experience, knowledge of teller drawer equipment (PODs, recyclers, etc.), computer competency (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook), typing and ten‑key proficiency, strong math skills, strong written and oral communication, detail oriented, teamwork, positive attitude, high integrity, regular attendance, willingness to accept new ideas, and adaptability.
Work Conditions
  • Routine standing, sitting, bending, stooping; occasional lifting up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, frequent use of wrists, hands, fingers; average visual and auditory acuity required.
  • May be required to travel to branch locations, training sessions, or meetings.
  • Must be available to work the required branch schedule, including Saturdays.
