Role

Senior Accountant

Location
  • Clearsulting is headquartered in Cleveland, OH, with additional offices located in Chicago, IL;
    Columbus, OH; and Dallas, TX.
  • Office Options:
    This role will be hybrid at our Cleveland or Columbus office, with potential for remote depending on location. We expect 8 days of in-person work per month, allowing flexibility choosing these days to accommodate client meetings, team syncs and individual schedules.
What you ll do
  • Drive the month-end, quarter-end, and annual close processes with precision and efficiency, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Lead balance sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain financial integrity.
  • Support audit and tax processes, coordinating requests and preparing documentation.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable operations, optimizing cash flow and supporting our collection processes.
  • Oversee expense report compliance and policy adherence, championing best practices and ensuring alignment with company standards.
  • Harness the power of data analytics and predictive reporting to provide actionable insights that support strategic decision-making across the various functions of the firm.
  • Innovate and automate finance processes using AI and other automation technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Other special projects, as directed by Finance leadership.
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related business subject
  • 2-4 years’ experience in Accounting, Finance, or Financial Operations
  • Passion for driving innovation and automation, including a strong understanding of Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude, as well as other AI and automation tools
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Growth mindset, eagerness to learn and innovate
Nice-to-Haves
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Exposure to accounting software or ERP systems, Certinia is a plus
  • Experience with month-end close activities
  • Exposure to financial reporting and analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for an evolving technology landscape
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

The compensation range for this position is $75,. We are committed to ensuring our offers reflect the value each candidate brings to the role. Final salary placement will be based on several factors, including level of expertise, relevant work experience, technology certifications, educational background, geography and alignment with industry standards. This role is eligible for our bonus program.
