Financial Management Analyst

Responsibilities

• Analyze new financial laws, regulations, and policies to determine impact on current financial operations, systems, and customer service delivery.
• Apply finance and accounting principles, theories, concepts, and practices to ensure that financial management and accounting systems produce accurate results and meet legal and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the preparation, analysis, reconciliation, consolidation, and submission of financial reports to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Propose procedures and methods to resolve current problems and enhance the validity, accuracy, and integrity of financial system data.
• Provide financial system analytic and technical assistance to other staff offices and field personnel in methods for maintaining financial compliance and reporting.

• One year of specialized experience in resource management analysis and evaluation of financial management procedures, policies, systems, and regulations to ensure continuity of financial operations.
• Experience performing in-depth resource management analysis, extracting and summarizing trends, and implementing new financial management procedures.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
• Requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance; may require access to classified information.
• Registered for Selective Service (males born after 12-31-1959).
• Suitable for Federal employment.
• Must have served at least 3 months after the latest competitive appointment in the Federal service.
• Obtain and maintain Financial Management Certification.
• New employees required to pass E‑Verify employment verification check.

• Travel requirements are minimal.
• Telework availability is limited and will only be provided in rare cases.
• Moving expenses will be paid.
