Overview
An Associate in the Disputes, Claims & Investigations group will work across a variety of industries, handling litigation and dispute matters, forensic accounting, and fraud investigations. The role typically involves developing financial damages models and supporting senior professionals with research and drafting of articles.
Major Duties- Prepare schedules and graphical exhibits summarizing analytical results
- Perform quality control procedures for client deliverables
- Conduct industry, company, or technical research
- Review, organize, and analyze project documents and information
- Analyze financial statements and supporting schedules and data
- Compile, interpret, normalize and analyze large data sets across diverse source systems
- Develop and review economic damage models in various contexts
- Prepare written reports and exhibits
- Attend client meetings and calls
- Assist in business development activities, such as proposals and professional articles
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting (additional coursework in Finance, Economics, or Database Management is a plus)
- 2–5 years of audit, financial compliance, or other related professional services experience
- Achieved or working toward the CPA designation or another relevant professional designation preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge or experience with analytic tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, R, Python)
- Ability to critically analyze financial information and accounting records
- Understanding of financial and accounting information used in business operations and M&A transactions
- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to conduct thorough research and develop alternative arguments or opinions
- Capacity to work with changing client or court‑imposed deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently and multitask
- Professional demeanor in interactions with clients and colleagues
Location is flexible if approved by the company, except that the position may not be performed remotely from Colorado.
