Summary ofEssential Duties and Responsibilities
The Firm Retirement Benefits Specialist assists the Retirement Benefits Manager in handling certain aspects of retirement benefits administration for the Firm. The Specialist is responsible for ensuring all pension payments are accurately and timely made to retirees and deferred vested participants; maintaining any internal systems for participants; and assistance with annual valuations, discrimination testing, and annual audit.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of three years working in a professional services environment.
- Advanced Excel and Word software skills required.
- Basic knowledge of ERISA laws and regulations.
- Previous work experience in a retirement benefits department preferred.
Jones Day offers competitive salaries and benefits to all employees. Compensation is determined upon the market in which the position is located, the responsibilities of the position, the experience and skills of the applicant, and other job-related factors. The starting salary range for this Cleveland position is $70,000 – $80,000.
