Lead Teller

Position Overview

As a Lead Teller within PNC’s Retail Branch organization, you will be based in Cleveland, OH, in an in‑office environment. You will coach, mentor, and lead tellers by example to deliver a unique customer experience aimed at improving financial wellbeing and creating loyalty while increasing share of wallet.

• Coach and mentor tellers in customer interactions, loan sales, and product positioning.
• Educate customers on banking alternatives, options for managing transactions, and leveraging technology.
• Identify banking opportunities and make appropriate referrals to branch staff.
• Perform lobby engagement activities to connect with customers and promote PNC products.
• Assist the Branch Manager in performance management, new‑hire selection, and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate and efficient teller and branch daily operations and transactions.
• Demonstrate sound judgment within established limits and comply with all policies and procedures.
• Provide clear communication and problem‑resolution support.

• High school diploma or GED; university/college degree not required.
• 1+ year related experience in banking or related customer service role.
• Strong communication, coaching, and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of banking products, loan sales, and customer experience best practices.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in processing transactions.
• Ability to identify opportunities and refer customers appropriately.
• Proficiency with technology and banking tools.
• Work in a collaborative, risk‑aware environment and adhere to PNC’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework.

Base salary: $37,500.00 – $62,500.00, varying by location, market data, and individual experience. Incentives available based on company, business, and individual performance.
