As a State and Local Tax
- Income Franchise
- Senior Associate, you will provide advice and guidance to clients on local tax matters, helping them navigate complex tax regulations and optimize their tax positions. You will analyze and interpret local tax laws and regulations, assist businesses in complying with local tax requirements, and enhance their local tax strategies. You will build meaningful client connections, manage and inspire others, and grow your technical skills while anticipating the needs of your teams and clients.
- Analyzing and interpreting local tax laws and regulations to provide strategic guidance to clients
- Assisting businesses in complying with local tax requirements and optimizing their tax positions
- Utilizing analytical thinking to break down complex tax concepts and develop actionable insights
- Building meaningful client connections and fostering relationships to understand and anticipate client needs
- Navigating complex situations and using critical thinking to solve tax-related challenges
- Developing a deeper understanding of the business context and adapting strategies to align with changing tax landscapes
- Upholding professional and technical standards, including adherence to PwC tax guidance and independence requirements
- Mentoring and guiding junior team members to enhance their skills and understanding of local tax matters
- Collaborating with teams to generate innovative solutions and improve tax compliance processes
- Interpreting data to inform insights and recommendations for client engagements
- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 2 years of experience in local tax matters
- Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment (members of the Bar or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may also qualify)
- Demonstrating proficiency in Multistate Tax Compliance
- Utilizing analytical thinking to solve complex tax issues
- Embracing change and adapting to evolving tax regulations
- Developing insights from data to inform tax strategies
- Excelling in communication to build client relationships
- Applying intellectual curiosity to explore innovative tax solutions
- Leveraging knowledge of local taxes for client benefit
Up to 20% travel.
Compensation and BenefitsThe salary range for this position is $77,000 - $214,000, with actual compensation dependent on skill, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), holiday pay, vacation, and personal and family sick leave.
