** Job Summary
** The Vice President, Public Sector will provide day-to-day execution of investment banking mandates (Debt Capital Markets and Public Finance opportunities) as well as support new business development initiatives.
** Essential Functions
*** Revenue generation based on existing or new clients
* Leading teams of Associates and Analysts in the provision of financing services to clients as well as the creation and preparation of presentation and pitch materials; mentoring, coaching, and assisting in the development of Associates and Analysts in the Public Finance Group
* Managing and executing tasks encompassing comprehensive financial modeling and valuation analyses
* Analyzing the financial statements and operating metrics within KBCM’s Public Finance focus sectors to generate industry insights
* Developing a thorough understanding of the trends and competitive dynamics within the sector
* Understanding the financial impact of decisions on the client’s organization
* Coordinating the appropriate organizational resources to deliver product solutions and advice to clients
* Maintaining frequent and appropriate communications with team members and product partners throughout the firm
* Eventually begin to assume origination responsibilities in accordance with the strategic direction of the group, including but not limited to: identifying and calling on prospects; the creation, analysis, and presentation of actionable ideas; and originating new client mandates
* Ongoing involvement in the identification and recruitment of potential new hire candidates for the group as well as other franchise-building activities
* Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice
* Complies with all Key Bank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and Key.
** Education
* ** Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Business Admin, Economics or Liberal Arts (preferred)
* Master's Degree in Business Administration (preferred)
* OR equivalent experience (required)
** Work Experience
*** 5+ years of investment banking experience (required)
* Relevant client interaction and transaction experience in the Public Finance industry (required)
** Licenses and Certifications
*** FINRA License S7 within 1 Year (required)
* FINRA License S63 within 1 Year (required)
* FINRA License S52 within 1 Year (required)
** Skills
* ** Demonstrated ability to manage deal teams
* Excellent written and verbal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Demonstrated ability to work in a time-sensitive environment with strong focus and attention to detail
* Maintains and expands relationships with banking clients and partners
