Summary ofEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Retirement Benefits Assistant supports the administration of the firm's defined benefit (pension) and defined contribution (401(k)) retirement plans under the guidance of the Retirement Benefits Manager. The Assistant maintains participant records, processes retirement-related transactions, prepares reports, and supports the accurate and timely delivery of retirement benefits. The Assistant works with retirement plan data, performs basic calculations and data validation, maintains internal systems and records, and supports compliance, audit, and reporting activities.
This position provides an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to develop expertise in retirement plan administration, benefits compliance, and data analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Economics or a related field, strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, including data entry, basic formulas, and reporting functions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to learn retirement plan concepts, processes, and applicable regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional environment.
Jones Day offers competitive salaries and benefits to all employees. Compensation is determined upon the market in which the position is located, the responsibilities of the position, the experience and skills of the applicant, and other job-related factors. The starting salary range for this Cleveland position is $60,000 – $70,000.
