Specimen Processor​/Phlebotomist

Description

As a Specimen Processor/Phlebotomist, you will be integral to patient care and laboratory operations, reporting directly to the laboratory manager. Your primary responsibilities will include specimen collection, processing, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilizing your core skills in phlebotomy and medical terminology, you will provide exceptional patient service. Your advanced laboratory techniques and experience will enhance the efficiency of our clinical laboratory.

As needed phlebotomist support for work sites in the greater Youngstown area.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a specimen processor/phlebotomist;
  Phlebotomy certification required upon hire or within 6 months.
• Customer service experience in a service environment.
• Previous laboratory (clinical) setting experience.

• Driver's License (Preferred)
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician (Required)
• PBT (ASCP) (Preferred)

• Comfortable handling biological specimens, including wearing PPE.
• Ability to accurately identify specimens and knowledge & training of HIPAA.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Strong data entry and organizational skills.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

• 40 hours per week
• 8‑hour shifts
• Tuesday – Saturday

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
