The Metro Health System is redefining health care by going beyond medical treatment to improve the foundations of community health and well-being: affordable housing, a cleaner environment, economic opportunity and access to fresh food, convenient transportation, legal help and other services. The system strives to become as good at preventing disease as it is at treating it. Founded in 1837, Cuyahoga County's safety-net health system operates four hospitals, four emergency departments and more than 20 health centers.

Provides direct patient medication-related care services to improve a patient's quality of life. Promotes pharmaceutical care and/or a specialty per the assigned clinical area (i.e., an opioid stewardship, critical care, etc.), which may include the ambulatory environment in any of The Metro Health System's locations, or in an in-patient setting. Makes medication-related decisions on drug therapy regarding selection, dosages, routes, methods of administration, medication therapy monitoring, the provision of medication-related information, and counseling to individual patients in assigned clinical areas.

Provides training/educational support for the development/enhancement of clinical skills in professional staff, pharmacy students, and pharmacy residents.
