Registered Nurse-Chief Nurse Sterile Processing Service

The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System is recruiting for a Full-Time Registered Nurse-Chief Nurse. The Registered Nurse will function as the Chief Nurse for Sterile Processing Service. The Chief Nurse provides leadership in the continuous systematic evaluation and enhancement of the quality and effectiveness of outcomes in the Sterile Processing Service.

The Registered Nurse-Chief Nurse duties include but are not limited:

* Systematic evaluation and improvement of quality and effectiveness of SPS program outcomes.

* Responsible for assessing, monitoring, developing, and implementing corrective action plans for SPS Quality Management System.

* Responsible for the oversight of evidence-based practice (EBP), infection control relating to sterile processing standards.

* Demonstrate leadership in developing and maintaining productive working relationships with groups in other medical programs and services across the spectrum of care. This also includes administrative/support programs and services across the healthcare system, such as engineering services, biomedicine, environmental management services, etc.

* Collaborate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures relating to sterile processing and infection control practices throughout the healthcare system.

* Champion a High Reliability Organization (HRO) of safety founded on a systems approach to developing evidence-based health care solutions based on prevention, not punishment, with collective mindfulness.

Pay:
Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards
