Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Helpful Hearted Providers Inc. is hiring compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) throughout Cuyahoga County, Ohio.
As a DSP, you will provide hands‑on support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and community settings. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, responsible, and passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
We provide paid training for qualified candidates.
- $16.00 – $20.00 per hour (based on experience and complexity of care)

- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, grooming, and dressing
- Administer medications (as trained and certified)
- Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping
- Provide transportation to appointments and community activities
- Implement Individual Service Plans (ISPs)
- Complete accurate daily documentation
- Promote independence, dignity, and community inclusion
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid Ohio driver’s license
- Reliable personal transportation
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening in accordance with Ohio DODD requirements
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred, but not required
