About the PositionWe are actively seeking a Consumer Recovery Specialist to work as part of the treatment team, developing and maintaining a supportive relationship with consumers to address strengths, goals, and barriers to recovery. The role includes monitoring recovery progress toward treatment goals, de‑escalation activities, participation in recovery, wellness and social skills groups, and developing and managing other group activities.

Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Special Requirements- Preference may be given for participation in DMHSAS‑sponsored Consumer Recovery Specialist certificate program.
- Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill any job‑related travel normally associated with this position, and must have a valid driver’s license.
- Upon a conditional offer, applicants must submit to a physical examination and meet the physical requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 50 pounds and pushing/pulling a maximum of 25 pounds.

Griffin Memorial Hospital (GMH) is located in Norman, Oklahoma, and serves all 77 counties in Oklahoma as a Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) treatment center for adults. It is a 120‑bed acute psychiatric hospital that provides inpatient care for persons aged 18 and over with severe mental illness and substance abuse services.
Pre‑employment TestingFor safety‑sensitive positions, applicants must submit to drug testing (urinalysis). Appointment to a safety‑sensitive position is contingent upon a negative drug test result.
Coverage and Work HoursThe agency requires coverage 24 hours, 7 days per week. Work hours and location may vary depending on business necessity, and employees may be required to work weekends and overtime.
