AI + Cancer Research | Computing Lead Opportunity Cleveland Clinic Department of Urology (Academic Appointment possible)

We’re seeking a Computing lead for our AIM-HI lab (Artificial Intelligence in Medicine and Health Informatics) to lead translational AI projects in clinical urology and cancer research—owning the full lifecycle of real-world clinical AI systems: development, validation, deployment, and post-deployment monitoring.
This is not a proof-of-concept role. Your models will be used by clinicians, evaluated against clinical gold standards, published in top journals, and deployed where decisions truly matter.
What you’ll do- Lead end-to-end AI projects applied to real clinical problems
- Build robust ML pipelines in Python
- Collaborate directly with clinicians and researchers
- Publish and present at major scientific conferences
- Mentor students and medical trainees
- Help define how AI is responsibly used in medicine
- PhD in CS, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
- Strong Python + ML experience
- Track record of peer-reviewed publications
- Bonus: computer vision, LLMs, medical imaging, HPC/cloud, biostatistics
