McGregor is seeking a House Supervisor / Care Associate / STNA to provide hands-on leadership and support to our Assisted Living team. This position combines resident care, staff supervision, quality oversight, and team leadership to help ensure residents receive safe, compassionate, and person-centered care.
The ideal candidate is an experienced STNA who enjoys supporting others, leading a team, and creating a positive environment for residents and employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, support, and evaluate Care Associates/STNAs and provide direction as needed.
- Oversee daily resident care and address concerns promptly and appropriately.
- Conduct daily resident rounds and report changes or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Assist with staffing, scheduling, assignments, and shift coverage in collaboration with the Director of Resident Services.
- Orient and support new employees and help ensure required training and education are completed.
- Monitor resident care, staff performance, service quality, and unit operations.
- Promote and support Resident Rights and person-centered care practices.
- Receive and provide shift reports, ensuring important resident information is communicated for appropriate follow-up.
- Recognize changes in residents' conditions and promptly notify the appropriate supervisor or Director.
- Recommend corrective or disciplinary action when appropriate.
- Follow all McGregor policies and procedures, including infection prevention, safety, and resident-care standards.
- Assist with interpreting and implementing department and organizational policies.
- Attend staff meetings, in-services, and committee meetings as assigned.
- Provide direct resident care when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification in good standing.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain positive working relationships with residents, families, coworkers, and other departments.
- Ability to provide leadership, direction, and support to Care Associates/STNAs.
