Driftwood Catering is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Event Sales Manager to lead the full lifecycle of event execution — from initial client consultation through final event delivery. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, maintaining exceptional client relationships, and ensuring every event is executed at the highest operational and service standards.
The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, results-driven, and passionate about hospitality excellence.
Key Responsibilities Client Relationship Management- Deliver exceptional client service through prompt communication and proactive follow-up.
- Build and maintain long-term professional relationships with clients and assigned accounts.
- Guide clients through contracts, deposits, floor plan approvals, and all required deadlines.
- Provide ongoing reminders and progress updates to ensure seamless execution.
- Manage and grow assigned accounts to increase sales volume and profitability.
- Identify and capitalize on upselling opportunities across floral, bakery, AV, and additional service departments.
- Support the sales team by reviewing proposals and contracts for accuracy and profitability.
- Collaborate with culinary leadership to achieve food and beverage revenue goals while maintaining quality standards.
- Oversee the selling, planning, detailing, and execution of events to exceed client expectations.
- Create and review staff plans and event timelines.
- Coordinate with the Director of Operations and cross-functional departments to ensure operational excellence.
- Communicate critical updates and changes affecting deadlines or logistics.
- Maintain an organized communication system for clients and internal teams.
- Stay current with required weekly duties and company procedures.
- Assess day-to-day situations and make timely, informed adjustments.
- Update training materials as needed and share knowledge to strengthen team performance.
- Uphold company standards, policies, and guiding principles of integrity, fairness, and respect.
- Minimum age: 21 years
- 3+ years of experience in catering, hospitality, or management (preferred)
- Associate degree preferred;
High School Diploma or GED required - Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations and hospitality standards
- Excellent mathematical and organizational skills
- Proficiency in:
- Word processing software
- Spreadsheets
- Inventory systems
- Order processing systems
- Database management tools
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and lift up to 25 lbs
- Stamina to work 50–60 hours per week as business demands require
