Banquet Server – Cleveland Marriott East

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a highly motivated Banquet Server to join our team at Cleveland Marriott East. This on‑call, part‑time position involves setting up, servicing, and clearing banquet rooms for events.

• Set up banquet rooms, including draping tables, setting silverware, folding napkins, preparing drinks, and arranging table centerpieces.
• Assist with event room setup, serving food and beverages, and clearing tables during the event.
• Break down event spaces by busing tables, putting away linen and centerpieces, vacuuming, and cleaning back halls.
• Maintain and organize storerooms and back‑hall areas.
• Set up AM/PM break stations with coffee, tea, snacks, and beverages.
• Prepare food & beverage stations, including condiments, brewed coffee, and ensuring adequate supplies.
• Serve food and beverages to guests, explain menu items, cooking methods, and ingredients.
• Accommodate special dietary requests and communicate effectively with guests.
• Provide general property information and offer warm greetings to all guests.
• Assist other departments and event staff as needed.
• Monitor tables for guest satisfaction, quality, and additional service needs.
• Address guest issues promptly and with high concern.
• Maintain awareness of safety issues (e.g., broken glass, frayed cords, leaks).
• Ensure final quality checks on food and beverage items prior to serving guests.

• 2–4 years of food service experience, preferably in banquet service.
• Experience in a 4‑star or 5‑star venue with synchronized service.
• Knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests.
• Excellent communication skills.

Compensation will be based on skills, experience, and location, and may differ by location due to labor cost considerations.
