Our Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Law School Recruiting Manager to lead our Firm's law school hiring efforts across all U.S. offices. In this role, you will shape our national recruiting strategy, strengthen relationships with law schools, and ensure that candidates experience a thoughtful and engaging process from first contact through the summer associate program. Working closely with the U.S. Hiring Chair, the Director of Legal Personnel, and local office teams, you will guide all aspects of 1L and 2L recruiting, oversee summer associate training and evaluations, and help maintain a consistent, high‑quality program across the Firm.

Responsibilities
  • Design and execute a national law student hiring strategy for the Firm's U.S. offices.
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with law school career services offices.
  • Lead the annual summer associate program, including collaborating with Learning & Development to develop training content, manage work allocation and evaluation processes, and oversee associate events.
  • Manage the recruiting process for 1L and 2L hiring: résumé collection and review, candidate identification, interviews, offer decisions, and status tracking.
  • Directly manage all aspects of the Columbus or Cleveland office 1L and 2L hiring and the summer program.
  • Develop website, job posting and social media content related to law school recruitment; coordinate with the Firm's social media teams.
  • Assist legal recruiting by conducting searches for associate and staff roles, including policy advisors, patent professionals, and paralegals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of law school recruiting experience, managing a national program; prior legal recruiting experience preferred.
  • Experience in event management.
Desired Skills
  • Strong customer service skills with internal and external clients.
  • Team‑player mindset with professionalism and productivity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, active listening, and discretion with confidential information.
  • Strong prioritization, time‑management, and attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal skills to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive, flexible, and willing to adjust to changing priorities.
  • Willingness to travel, attend events, and work additional hours as required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
