Saint Ignatius High School, a highly successful Jesuit college preparatory school for boys in Cleveland, Ohio, is seeking an experienced Payroll and Human Resources Associate. This position is responsible for overseeing a range of Human Resources activities, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll, and compliance. This role will collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance the overall employee experience and support the school's goals.

This is a 12-month salaried position working through the calendar year and reports to the Director of Human Resources.

The ideal candidate will be a detail‑oriented individual with a professional attitude and a strong background in payroll and payroll technology and possess the ability to work both independently or in a team setting. Preferred candidates will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Finance or Accounting, 3‑5 years of payroll processing and a working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now to meet the needs of this fast‑paced, highly‑detailed position where confidentiality is key.

• Ensure bi‑weekly payrolls are processed in a timely and accurate manner following internal controls
• Maintain accurate payroll records and employee files
• Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job postings
• Coordinate new employee orientation and onboarding programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires
• Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies
• Assist with the open enrollment process
• Provide support to employees regarding benefits inquiries and issues
• Maintain accurate employee records and databases
• Identify and implement process improvements as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the HR and Finance teams

• Required - Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Finance or Accounting
• 3-5 years payroll processing experience
• Strong understanding of Human Resources best practices, employment law and compliance
• Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now, preferred
• Advanced computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Suites
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity

• Ability to listen, communicate (written and verbal), and follow up effectively with all staffing levels and employees/vendors
• Ability to work independently
