POSITION PURPOSEThe Human Resource Assistant will assist with the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including sourcing and interviewing staff, benefit and leave administration, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Pay range: $52k - $57k annually.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verification.
- Maintain up to date job descriptions and recruitment records.
- Coordinate open enrollment and benefit communication.
- Maintain and update employee records in accordance with legal requirements.
- Acts as a point of contact for employee inquires and concerns.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficiency in HRIS and other HR software, experience with Rippling is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 2 years of experience in a HR Administrator role.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
- Assimilate into Pioneer’s culture through understanding, supporting and participating in all elements of its service standards. Demonstrate strong knowledge of the service standards
- Regular attendance in conformance with standards, which may be established by Pioneer from time to time
