Job Description Position Summary The Senior ER Specialist will play a crucial role in promoting a positive, fair, and compliant workplace environment across our organization. They will manage and resolve complex employee relations cases, conduct investigations, and ensure alignment with company policies, external regulations, and core values. Addtionally, they will partner cross-functionally with HR, Legal, and senior leadership to address employee concerns, support performance management, and foster an inclusive culture.
The role will be empowered to recommend changes to the progressive discipline process and other related policies. They will be a data driven HR professional, using the case management system to report on trends, recommend new policies or practices, and inform on the training of leaders.
Essential Job Functions Job Function #1:
Employee Relations Case Management.
Investigate workplace issues and concerns raised by associates including associate disputes, allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other potential violations of company policies.
Exhibit sound judgment in recommending outcomes for investigations, ensuring fair and equitable treatment of all employees.
Partner with HR, Labor Relations, the Office of the General Counsel, and outside counsel on cases involving both union-represented and salaried employees.
Prepare, track, and maintain accurate documentation throughout the investigation process, developing and implementing comprehensive investigation plans to drive timely case closure.
Manage sensitive employee data and statements with utmost confidentiality.
Draft clear and concise investigation reports and maintain meticulous documentation.
An expert in crafting corrective actions, PIPs, and termination summaries, partners with leaders for the creation and storing of these documents.
Able to travel as necessary to support complex investigations. Travel up to 25% of the time. (75%)Job Function #2:
Trend Analysis and Proactive Recommendations.
Provide quarterly updates to HR and company leaders as necessary on ER trends.
Collaborate with HR Data Analytics to develop and maintain ER dashboard. (10%)Job Function #3:
HRBP and Training Collaboration. Training Delivery.
Partner with HRBP team and Learning Team to recommend trainings.
Deliver employee relations related trainings as needed.
Participate as SME in training development and delivery. (15%)Education Undergraduate (Bachelor) Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Advanced (Master) Degree in Human Resources and/or Labor Relations
Experience5-7 Years of HR Generalist experience required3-4 Years of employee relations, investigations, corrective action experience requiredSHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
