Tech & Engineering Recruiter

As a Tech and Engineering Recruiter based in Cleveland, OH, you will support client hiring managers with high-volume field and engineering hiring. This contract role focuses on delivering candidate quality, an excellent hiring manager experience, and meeting SLA/KPI expectations for target start dates.

• Build strong working relationships with Recruiters and Hiring Managers to deliver an excellent candidate and hiring manager experience.
• Lead recruiting discussions and establish credibility as a source and strategy thought leader.
• Partner with sourcing and talent intelligence specialists to create sourcing strategies informed by market insights.
• Provide high-quality candidate shortlists with complete, accurate information and clear recommendations to support hiring decisions.
• Share candidate feedback, challenges, and successes with Recruiters and Hiring Managers, recommending improvements such as alternative locations, talent pools, and job description updates.
• Apply innovative thinking and pursue ongoing professional development to support hiring of top talent, including passive candidates.
• Create and post compelling, accurate job advertisements that strengthen client brand and attract strong applicants.
• Develop proactive sourcing strategies using appropriate channels, including Linked In and social media, with a targeted approach for niche and specialist roles.
• Use data to measure sourcing effectiveness, refine strategies over time, and communicate successes and insights.
• Engage candidates professionally through multiple channels including email, Linked In, and phone, regularly headhunting specialist talent.
• Assess candidate skills, motivations, and career aspirations to inform selection decisions.
• Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process and build long-term talent pools.
• Present candidates accurately and compellingly to clients while advocating for diverse and bias-free selection processes.
• Track recruitment progress, performance, and data in relevant systems.
• Champion candidates through candid career discussions that reflect the client brand.
• Ensure candidates feel supported and informed throughout the recruitment journey.
• Maintain long-term relationships so candidates can become advocates even when outcomes are not a match.

• Proven experience recruiting and sourcing across the energy sector, including field technicians, electricians, engineering professionals, and operations roles.
• Experience supporting recruitment for field-based environments, data centers, electrical energy, and power-related operations, including familiarity with technical requirements.
• Demonstrated expertise in building candidate pipelines, conducting market research, proactive sourcing, and achieving strong hiring outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of specialized talent markets, including roles focused on equipment inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and field service, as well as multiple engineering disciplines.
• Experience recruiting for high-volume and specialized technical roles, with the ability to engage talent in competitive engineering and skilled-trades markets.
• End-to-end recruitment experience covering sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer management, and stakeholder consultation.
• Strong ability to assess and evaluate recruitment expertise, including sourcing strategy, talent mapping, competency-based interviewing, and selection methodologies.
• Advanced relationship management skills with hiring managers, candidates, and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to work autonomously while managing priorities independently against agreed timelines and objectives.
