DevOps Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a Dev Ops engineer with a good cultural fit to help build out the digital infrastructure of Peak Nano. Reporting to the Sr. Development Leader of the Software & Digital Infrastructure Team (SDI), this engineer will primarily work with the IT, SDI and AI/ML teams to automate infrastructure management and build CI/CD pipelines. The core tenant of the SDI team is to act as a force multiplier for the greater organization, utilizing a combination of high-level tools, libraries, and off-the-shelf services to move fast and accelerate the efforts of the greater team.

The ideal candidate has experience in various development, testing, and automation tools and IT infrastructure.

Base pay range

$90,000.00/yr - $/yr

• Increase productivity in the workplace through automation
• Resolve problems across multiple application domains and platforms using system troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques
• Automate different software processes by designing, maintaining and managing tools
• Define and develop system backup and recovery strategies
• Diagnose and resolve server configuration, deployments and database related issues
• Identify bottlenecks and optimize system performance for efficiency and cost-effectiveness
• Provide periodic reporting and management information on infrastructure performance and operational KPIs
• Develop policies, standards, and guidelines for IaC and CI/CD that teams can follow

• BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical education
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows
• At least two years CI/CD pipeline experience, with tools like Jenkins, Git Lab
• Understand networking basics, including DNS, TCP/IP and VPN
• Familiar with Docker and Kubernetes for container management and orchestration
• Experience with relational databases (SQL/MySQL/AWS etc. as data repository)
• Proactive in learning new tools as stack evolves
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with others and interact with diverse groups

• Knowledge and interest in HPC hardware/infrastructure
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
