The Director of Data Science & Analytics will lead the Data Science function in designing, deploying, and scaling advanced analytics and AI/ML solutions. This role emphasizes technical and scientific rigor, ensuring models are built to high standards, production-ready, and effectively embedded into business operations. The Director will work closely with AI Product Management, Operations, IT, and Data Engineering teams to deliver high-impact solutions while maintaining a strong focus on innovation, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop, and mentor a team of Data Scientists in the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML models and advanced analytics solutions.
  • Drive technical excellence across model development, validation, productionization, and performance monitoring.
  • Oversee the Data Science project portfolio, prioritizing resources toward the highest-value initiatives.
  • Collaborate with AI Product Management to ensure project execution aligns with product vision, roadmap, and adoption strategies.
  • Partner with Operations, IT, and Data Engineering teams to integrate models into enterprise systems and operational workflows.
  • Define and implement standards, methodologies, and best practices for data science development and model industrialization.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience leading and developing Data Science teams.
  • Demonstrated success deploying AI/ML solutions at scale within complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong technical expertise, including proficiency in:
  • Python and modern ML/AI frameworks (e.g., Tensor Flow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn)
  • Machine Learning and Deep Learning model development and validation
  • Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), including fine-tuning and deployment
  • Strong collaboration skills with both technical and business stakeholders, especially within Operations, IT, and Product Management.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Willingness to travel as needed, adhere to required work schedules, work at designated locations, complete the company employment application, and participate in background screening (including employment history, education, and criminal record) and drug testing.
