OverviewEight Eleven Group is seeking a Mid-Level Oracle Database Developer to support system integrations related to the acquisition of a paint manufacturer in South America. This role focuses on developing and optimizing Oracle PL/SQL, data mappings, batch processes, and performance tuning to ensure smooth, reliable data flow between the new organization and existing systems. The developer will collaborate with technical and business teams to gather requirements, troubleshoot integration issues, support testing and deployment activities, and maintain clear technical documentation while following established development standards.
Responsibilities- Support the design, development, and deployment of integrations between newly implemented systems and existing Oracle-based applications for the South America project.
- Assist in building and maintaining JSON‑based interfaces, ensuring accurate data movement between internal Oracle tools and external systems.
- Develop and optimize Oracle PL/SQL code, SQL queries, and database objects to support integration workflows and application enhancements.
- Work within Unix/Linux environments to execute scripts, run jobs, troubleshoot issues, and support system operations.
- Collaborate with technical teams to integrate systems for the newly acquired paint company in Brazil, ensuring smooth data flow and alignment with business requirements.
- Use tools such as JIRA and Git to manage work assignments, track progress, and maintain version control of integration components.
- Follow project direction closely, execute assigned tasks with accuracy, and ensure deliverables are completed to project standards.
- Participate in testing, validation, and troubleshooting of integration solutions to ensure reliability and performance.
- 2–4 years of hands‑on experience supporting the design, development, and deployment of new or enhanced applications.
- Experience working in a Unix/Linux environment (comfortable navigating, running commands, and troubleshooting).
- Strong SQL skills with experience in Oracle Database and PL/SQL.
- Familiarity with internal Oracle toolsets and utilities (e.g., scheduling tools, data manipulation, JSON handling).
- Experience building or supporting interfaces using JSON‑based integrations (ability to move data in/out of JSON structures).
- Experience using tools such as JIRA, Git, and related Dev Ops or SDLC tracking tools.
- Ability to take direction and execute assigned work independently and accurately.
- Strong focus on task ownership, productivity, and delivering assigned project work.
