Summary of

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Support (Office) Specialist, in collaboration with the Firm IT Department, supports the technological needs of the Miami Office. The IT Support (Office) Specialist provides support for personal computers and peripherals, including but not limited to troubleshooting of defective or inoperable components, diagnosis and eventual replacement of defective components and assistance of end-users in the proper use of hardware and software.

The Specialist is responsible for the assembly, optimization and placement of personal computers, printers and other computer-related equipment. The Specialist is responsible for the entry and maintenance of records in the appropriate Firm IT system(s) used to track technology assets. The Specialist expects to help set up and support Conference rooms and assist customers with their scheduled meetings. The Specialist works with the Firm AV engineering team with AV/VC and device testing when necessary.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in computer-related field.
• Experience in a legal or professional services environment preferred.
• Highly developed and practical knowledge of personal computer hardware architecture and applications, including operating systems, application software, printers and other peripherals.
• Knowledge of major personal computer applications, including personal computer operating systems, word processing editors, graphics software, spreadsheet programs and telecommunications software.

Jones Day offers competitive salaries and benefits to all employees. Compensation is determined upon the market in which the position is located, the responsibilities of the position, the experience and skills of the applicant, and other job-related factors. The starting salary range for this Cleveland position is $65,000 – $75,000.
