Description
This is a hybrid role with employees expected to work onsite on designated inoffice days each week in the Brooklyn, OH office.
Medical Mutual's IT Summer Internship Program provides college students with a hands‑on, 10‑12‑week paid experience designed to develop technical, analytical, and professional skills in a real‑world environment. Interns have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful work while learning from experienced professionals in a mission‑driven, community‑focused organization.
This role also offers the potential for interns to return in June 2027 to join Medical Mutual's IT Bootcamp Program, which includes:
- Exposure to Medical Mutual's technology landscape
- Structured classroom instruction and management training
- Online learning modules
- Hands‑on work assignments
- Focused development in specific programming languages and technical disciplines
- Engage in in‑depth, on‑the‑job learning supported by classroom training, real project work, mentoring, and networking opportunities
- Build core professional skills, identify individual strengths, and develop career‑aligned competencies
- Participate in team‑based community involvement and volunteer activities
- Attend intern program events including career workshops, leadership discussions, and team‑building sessions
- Preferred Majors:
Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Communications - College students with a Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Masters preferred
- Cumulative 2.8 GPA or higher required
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Business analysis and requirement‑gathering fundamentals
- Understanding of web development concepts
- Technical writing skills
- Strong teamwork and collaboration
- Achievement‑oriented attitude
- Experience working on a large or long‑term project
