Sr. Cloud Engineer

Are you an experienced cloud engineering professional who thrives on building scalable applications directly within the Google Cloud ecosystem? An industry-leading technology firm is seeking a Senior Cloud Application Engineer to join their growing team. In this direct-hire, hybrid role, you will leverage your extensive expertise in Go, Type Script, and Python to architect high-availability solutions from the ground up. You will serve as a core technical leader, guiding development practices and integrating cutting-edge AI models into production.

What you'll be doing in this role:

• Lead the architecture and implementation of complex web applications using Go, Type Script (Svelte), and Python (FastAPI).
• Design and optimize relational database schemas and queries using Postgre
  
  SQL, ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Architect and manage the deployment of web applications on Google Cloud Platform, utilizing services such as Cloud Run, Cloud SQL (Postgre
  
  SQL), Vertex AI, and various Google Cloud APIs.
• Develop maintainable and user-friendly interfaces using modern frameworks (e.g., Svelte, HTMX)
• Collaborate with data science teams to integrate AI models into production-ready web interfaces and APIs.

8 or more years of professional experience in full-stack web application development.

Exceptional, expert-level programming capabilities in both Go and Type Script.

Deep, hands-on architectural knowledge of the Google Cloud Platform, specifically with VPCs, load balancing, and deploying highly available applications.

Proven track record of operating and scaling cloud-native applications in live production environments.

Strong command of modern software development life cycles, Agile methodologies, and advanced Git workflows.

Ability to work a hybrid schedule consisting of three days onsite (Tuesday through Thursday) and two days remote (Monday and Friday) in one of the following markets:
Cleveland, Atlanta, Austin, or Dallas.
