Global Platform Architecture Lead — Cloud & Microservices

Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled architect to join the EY Client Technology Architecture team within the Technology Strategy and Architecture (TS&A) function. The role involves defining, designing, and delivering architectures for business‑critical global products and platforms, ensuring reusability, scalability, and reliability across diverse infrastructure and environments in alignment with EY’s mission and strategy.

• Build relationships across business units to understand requirements, translate them into architecture blueprints, and advocate architecture leadership for both high‑ and low‑level design.
• Own the full technology, architecture and design landscape of the product/platform from solutioning through delivery, adoption and sale phases.
• Lead a portfolio or large product’s architectural team, setting direction and providing governance while ensuring end‑to‑end delivery.
• Solve complex problems where solutions may not exist, including ideation, proof‑of‑concepts, vendor evaluations and technology feasibility analysis.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (engineering, platform, info‑sec) to deliver architectures that meet enterprise standards and guidelines.
• Lead product delivery by building and consuming reusable functional and technical assets, defining and implementing standards.
• Support product and project managers with planning, forecasting, estimation and cost‑balancing for new and existing products/platforms.
• Coach and mentor development teams, ensuring artifacts comply with architecture, design, quality standards and conducting reviews.
• Contribute to architecture and development standards/guidelines to promote optimization and consistency.
• Work across multiple projects and stakeholders, providing technical leadership, mediation and advisory services to the business.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and organizational skills, operating as a leading member of global, distributed teams.
• Build lasting relationships with business, IT and external partners, staying informed on industry trends and emerging technologies; evangelize technical quality through mentoring, communities and events.

• Experience leading a global team of solution and technical architects, delivering large, complex product portfolios from planning to adoption.
• Advanced architecture leadership with a proven track record in enterprise‑scale environments; hands‑on delivery experience in architect roles across the lifecycle.
• Deep expertise in one or more architecture specializations (application, infrastructure/cloud, integration, data, security), including delivery of functional and non‑functional aspects of products/platforms using modern cloud and Dev Sec Ops  practices.
• Expertise in designing and developing distributed, scalable products and platforms with reusable microservices on hybrid clouds;

• Proficiency in multiple application programming and scripting languages (JavaScript, .NET, Java, Python, C++), SQL and No
  
  SQL databases, big data, analytics and machine learning.
• Ability to adopt new technologies while adhering to EY’s security and operational standards.
• Strong business acumen and communication skills to translate technical solutions to business partners.
• In‑depth knowledge of design patterns and architectural styles (microservices, containers, event‑driven, data streaming, analytics).
• Excellent collaboration, analytical, interpersonal and communication abilities.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Mathematics or Economics.
• 15+ years of IT industry experience, with 5+ years in a solution or technical architect role focused on cloud, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS.
• Active certifications such as Microsoft Azure, TOGAF, AWS Certified, CSA, etc.
• Thought‑leadership experience presenting ideas and solutions to diverse audiences.
• Experience designing and implementing low‑code/no‑code, generative AI, data governance, mobile applications, and advanced cloud security solutions.
