Summary ofEssential Duties and Responsibilities
The Information Governance Operations Analyst performs analytical or interpretive tasks necessary to develop recommendations to refine methodologies, procedures, processes and controls necessary to minimize the liability, risk and cost of retaining hardcopy and electronic data. The Analyst assists with the development of practice area and administrative department work practices to promote greater utilization and efficient management of electronic records. The Analyst supports the Information Governance Operations Manager in efforts towards building a global information governance program and in implementing software and tools to maintain that program.
The Analyst works closely with the Firm’s local office records personnel (or those acting in such capacity), Technology Support Services, and other members of the Firm Information Governance group.
The Analyst requires extensive knowledge of electronic legal recordkeeping and experience with technology solutions related to records management and tactical project skills to ensure the integrity of records and related metadata over the required lifecycle of records as information systems are upgraded or replaced. The Analyst creates and maintains compliance procedures, documentation, educational materials and a portfolio of internal controls pertaining to information governance requirements.
The Analyst is expected to track key performance indicators to measure the state of compliance with information governance requirements and prepare related reports on a regular cadence.
- Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience, preferably in the areas of Business Management, Library Science, Information Science or related information management field.
- Minimum of five years of information management (including electronic data), experience in a law firm and/or Information Governance Professional (IGP) certificate required.
- Experience with records management software, document management and data management solutions such as Filetrail, IRM, Intapp (Walls, Activity Tracker, Legal Holds), iManage, Prosperoware (Milan, Zone Bulk Email Import, CAM, Desktop Export/Import, ) and RBRO (Import / Export Management) is required.
- Substantial familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Experience with Service Now, Microsoft SQL Reporting Services or Power BI is a plus.
Jones Day offers competitive salaries and benefits to all employees. Compensation is determined upon the market in which the position is located, the responsibilities of the position, the experience and skills of the applicant, and other job-related factors. The starting salary range for this Cleveland position is $100,000 to $110,000.
