We are recruiting for a Site Reliability Engineer to support cloud-based applications in a highly regulated environment. This contract role requires strong AWS cloud design experience, hands‑on Cloud Watch experience, and the ability to support highly reliable production systems.
What You’ll Do- Build and improve monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and automation for large‑scale application environments.
- Support production, test, and development systems to keep applications reliable, available, and high‑performing.
- Design and maintain observability solutions using AWS services and related monitoring tools.
- Automate repetitive operational tasks through scripting, infrastructure as code, or cloud‑native tooling.
- Track performance, reliability, capacity, and operational health metrics across application services.
- Partner with development and operations teams to improve deployment practices, incident response, resiliency, and system performance.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to the regulated environment and client contract requirements.
- Must live in the Central or Eastern time zone.
- Strong AWS cloud design experience, including Cloud Watch.
- Experience with AWS services such as Cloud Trail, EKS, Lambda, Dynamo
DB, RDS, Postgre
SQL, S3, API Gateway, ELB, Open Search, Grafana, X‑Ray, SQS, Canaries, or AWS FIS. - Background with Git Lab, CI/CD, Docker, Terraform, CDK, Grafana, Open Search, or similar tools.
- Programming or scripting experience with Python, Type Script, Node.js, .NET, Java, or similar languages.
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code, monitoring as code, deployment patterns, disaster recovery, resiliency, ITIL, or chaos engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree and strong related experience in cloud, Dev Ops, infrastructure, or site reliability engineering.
- AWS certifications preferred.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
