Information Technology Support Specialist

Overview

Under the supervision of the Coordinator of Technology, this candidate will assist in maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting and operating computers, networks, related peripheral devices, and audio/visual equipment throughout the District.

8 hours/day, 5 days/week, 260 days/year.

• Experience repairing, troubleshooting and operating computers, networks and related peripheral devices.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to repair equipment and physical ability to perform all of the essential functions of the job.
• Knowledge of technical terms related to computers.
• Superior end-user computer and technology skills.

• Available to work over-time hours and/or a non-traditional schedule.
• Ability to establish working relationships with co-workers and function as part of a cohesive team.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and complete assignments in a timely manner.

• Experience with Windows Server and Client operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of roles such as Active Directory, File and Print Services, WSUS, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience with Dell Avamar Data Protection Software or comparable Enterprise Backup Solution.
• Working knowledge of VMWare virtualization or equivalent.
• Familiar with the computer image deployment process - building, gathering, and deploying images.
• Previous experience working in a school; understands technology applications in an academic environment.

Salary: $32.72/Hour;
