Position Summary

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading complex and high‑impact technology projects across the organization. The role oversees all phases of project management—from strategic planning through execution and delivery—ensuring alignment with business goals and acting as a key liaison between executive stakeholders and technical teams.

Onsite in Fort Wayne, IN

Compensation

Competitive base salary plus quarterly profit sharing after one year of employment.

Responsibilities Strategic Project Leadership
  • Define and manage the full project lifecycle for large‑scale, cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Partner with stakeholders to align project objectives with organizational strategy.
  • Manage projects, balancing scope, schedule, and resources.
Advanced Planning and Coordination
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including risk assessments, resource models, and financial forecasts.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams across geographies, managing internal and external resources.
  • Ensure project governance and adherence to enterprise PMO standards.
Project Stakeholder Engagement
  • Serve as the primary liaison to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Deliver clear, concise reporting and presentations to project stakeholders.
  • Facilitate strategic decision‑making through data‑driven insights and risk analysis.
Risk and Issue Management
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate complex project risks and interdependencies.
  • Lead resolution of high‑impact issues across multiple teams or work streams.
Execution and Delivery Oversight
  • Champion delivery excellence using established methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, hybrid).
  • Monitor project quality, scope, compliance, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives and lessons learned.
Financial and Resource Management
  • Own and manage project budgets, vendor contracts, and cost forecasts.
  • Optimize resource allocation across teams and adjust plans as needed.
Technology Strategy Alignment
  • Collaborate with IT leadership to ensure architectural alignment and technical feasibility.
  • Provide strategic input on technology initiatives, infrastructure modernization, and innovation opportunities.
Requirements MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience managing complex projects, with proven success across software development, infrastructure, or cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide junior project managers, fostering team growth and capability.
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and enterprise IT operations.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as One Plan, Azure Dev Ops, or similar platforms.
  • Proven track record in leading cross‑functional teams and managing vendor partnerships effectively.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage at all organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical thinking, strategic mindset, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to excel in fast‑paced, high‑impact environments with shifting priorities.
NICE TO HAVE
  • Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, or a related field.
  • Advanced certifications such as PMP.
  • Experience with ERP Systems Implementation (e.g., SAP, Oracle Fusion Cloud, Workday).
